Chopin Script

A research film made in collaboration with Zeyang Zheng, Olivia Mackrill and Lauriane Jambu.

For two weeks we wanted to immerse ourselves in handwriting and to become empathetic towards those that love it. The most popular tattoo script in England is "Chopin Script" and this is what we focused on. We interviewed tattoo artists, someone who used the script for a tattoo and was getting a tattoo in another's genuine handwriting, we learned how to write the script ourselves with pen and ink, we immersed ourselves in the world of the script, I replaced the various texts in my room with Chopin Script, we video called handwriting lovers, joined reddit pages, phoned calligraphy artists and even used the Chopin Script as our handwritten font for placards at a Trump rally in London. The research we gathered was narrowed down into a two minute video.
